Brian was raised in Whitehall, MI. Having grown up in the Catholic Church it was at the age of 16 when he read John 14:6, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me." With this clear understanding he prayed and began his journey with Jesus. 

After receiving 2 Bachelor degrees in Business Management from Ferris State College with intentions of taking over his fathers Grocery Store, God rearranged his plans leading him to Grace Bible College. From there a local church in Coopersville asked him to be their youth leader and the die was cast. God called Brian into youth ministry and blessed him with a 27 year career as a Youth Pastor.

During his early ministry years in Holland, MI God (through Scott Rolff) introduced Brian to Sonlife Ministries’ vision of disciple making. This literally shaped Brian's whole youth ministry career as God instilled in him a heart for evangelism and disciple making as he focused on following Christ’s example of a disciple maker.

Before retiring from youth ministry in 2011 Scott asked Brian to help form MCMD. They have partnered together seeking to make disciples who make disciples.
